There are numerous easy ways to get to the Airport, here are all the options. For international flights it's recommended to arrive at the airport at least 2-3 hours before your flight's scheduled departure. Also before you arrive make sure you have all your relevant travel paperwork including e-tickets, visas and current passport.
The check-in area is located in the Departures (left) side of the terminal. Make sure you have your ticket information and passport handy and proceed to your chosen airline's counter. Don't forget, for international flights all liquids, aerosols and gels over 100ml must be packed in your checked luggage so if you’ve got cosmetics, a jar of Vegemite, or a bottle of mango wine pack it in your suitcase before you check-in. You can take liquids, aerosols and gels in your carry-on luggage as long as they are in containers of a maximum of 100ml, and are in a clear zip lock bag ready to be scanned at the security check point. Powders: From 30 June 2018, all international departing flights will have restrictions in place limiting inorganic powders to volumes less than 350ml per passenger in the aircraft cabin. Passengers will be required to present all powders in their carry-on baggage separately for screening.

Once you've checked-in you'll proceed through Border Protection for clearance then to the Security Screening point. Here you'll pass through the metal detector and all your carry-on luggage will be x-ray screened.
