1. Maintaining the highest standards of business ethics and conduct

Our Code of Conduct is our foundational governance document, setting out our core standards and governance requirements for NQA employees, volunteers, the leadership team and board members.  Our Code of Conduct also applies to our contractors, consultants and others who may be temporarily assigned to perform work or services for NQA.

All team members are responsible for demonstrating behaviour that is consistent with our values, cultivating loyalty and trust with each other and our stakeholders.

Our Code of Conduct is supported by a number of detailed governance and compliance policies, guidelines and procedures that form part of the NQA Policy Framework.

Six core corporate values form the pillars of our Code of Conduct, and guide our decision making and conduct. These values guide how we behave and work, help to build great teams, shape our environment and filter our decisions. They influence our processes and how we interact with each other, future talent, customers, stakeholders and partners.

Our values are:

  • Safety every day - We create a safe, secure, and healthy culture for our people and customers.
  • Do the right thing - We are accountable and do what is honest and ethical, demonstrating integrity, and worthy of the trust of others.
  • Strengthen community - Strengthen and invest in those around us, the teams we work in and the communities we operate in.
  • Create value - In collaboration with others, we create positive organisational, social, environmental and economic value.
  • Care always - Care, service, compassion and respect guide the way we operate at all levels and with all people.
  • Think ahead - Boldly approach the future through curiosity, adaptation and creativity.
