Cairns Airport’s role as an essential component in the region’s infrastructure and key economic driver has been highlighted in a new report.
Airport owners North Queensland Airports (NQA) commissioned Cummings Economics to undertake the study, Economic Impact of the Cairns Airport.
The results show airport operations and industry activities dependent on the availability of air services through the airport directly and indirectly generates approximately 30,000 jobs and generates $2.5 billion of value added revenue for the regional economy.
