Passenger numbers continued to grow at Cairns Airport in March with 3% more international passengers and 2% more domestic passengers recorded compared to March 2017.
Chief Commercial Officer – Aviation, Paul McLean, said one of the highlights for the month was the return of Air New Zealand to Cairns.
“Air New Zealand commenced their seasonal service between Auckland and Cairns on 25 March,” Mr McLean said.
“The return flights will operate through until 28 October offering a total seat capacity of 45,600. There are daily flights scheduled to meet peak season demand during the month of July.”
