Easter is always a busy time for family travel and if you’re flying out of Cairns this Easter the fun starts right at the airport.
Cairns Airport Chief Commercial Officer – Retail, Transport & Property, Tracey Groves, said there will be lots of activity going on in the domestic and international terminals at various times each morning from this Monday through to Easter Sunday.
“We’re encouraging families to come to the airport a little earlier so the kids can say hello to the Easter Bunny, get their photo taken with him, enjoy some yummy Easter treats and explore what else we have to offer,” Ms Groves said.
“From 7:30 – 10:30am Monday to Friday they can visit our talented Easter helper, Rebecca, at her face painting stand near the Smiggle store in the T2 (Domestic) Departures Lounge, get a gorgeous Easter themed face-artwork and support The Smith Family’s Learning for Life program with a gold coin donation.”
“We’ll even have some singalong sessions with lots of fun kiddie songs to join in.”
“There’s also an exciting treat in store for some lucky arriving passengers on Easter Sunday with a baggage carousel drop of Easter gifts and chocolates planned for two random flights.”
"There’s even a special discounted online car parking offer to give local people picking up or dropping off friends and family over the Easter weekend plenty of time to go into the terminal, relax and enjoy some of the Easter fun.”
